Tell us a little bit about yourself – your family, hobbies, experiences, education, etc., basically anything you’d like to share.
Hi there! My name is Caitie Crowley, and I’m a Catholic author. I was born and raised in a little place called Peoria, Illinois. We are known for being the former world headquarters of CaterpillarInc. and the hometown of Fulton J. Sheen. Most of my Irish, Catholic family still lives there. I recently moved to Nashville, Tennessee for a promotion to Senior Employee Communications Specialist. Two of my proudest accomplishments are getting my first book, Stepping Up, published by En Route Books & Media and graduating Summa Cum Laude with my Master of Science in Information Design and Strategy from Northwestern University.
What is your apostolate? How do you bring truth, beauty and goodness to the world? How did your ministry/apostolate begin?
My apostolate is Catholic writing and speaking, most especially on the topic of redemptive suffering. I can look back on my life and see how God was using certain experiences to mold me for this, but my ministry did not formally begin until my life almost ended. In 2019, I was in a traumatic car accident on my way home from work and almost lost my life. I couldn’t walk for 10 months. As time passed, my 8 th grade confirmation teacher, Deacon Roger, and my nana encouraged me to write a book about my experience. I wrote the core of my book in three days.

What have you struggled with and how have you managed to balance the interior life of Mary, with the exterior life of Martha? Tell us about your practice of prayer and any special devotions you have, and how this supports/enhances your apostolate.
Without God, you can do nothing. There is no way you can write or speak about what God wants you to unless you have a close relationship with Him. The only way to do that is through prayer and the sacraments. The Eucharist and the rosary are essential for me.
Where can we learn more about you and your apostolate and new projects?
